Trauma-Informed Care
At Maryvale, our approach to treatment is built upon the foundation of Trauma-Informed Care. These principles are designed to create an environment of healing and recovery by addressing the unique needs and long-term impacts of trauma.
Trauma Lens Guiding Principles
Guided by the principles of treatment and interventions, our two-track, tiered service option demands collaboration between family and clinical team. This two-track service model is divided into:
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): Play a crucial role in co-occurring disorder treatment programs by providing a high level of care for individuals with substance use and mental health disorders who do not require 24-hour supervision. This program has three levels designed to meet specific goals and outcomes based on the youth’s individualized treatment plan.
- Intensive In-Home Behavioral Health Services Program (II-HBHS): (Arranged into two levels) rapidly empowers youth and their families to manage their lives without requiring higher-level intervention.
Individualized Care Plans and Strengths-Based Perspective
Individualized care plans are crucial for effective treatment, as they cater to the unique needs of each youth and family. At Maryvale, we conduct an initial assessment that guides treatment and involves identifying strengths, supports, and available community resources.
Clinical services, such as individual and family therapy, along with parent workshops, provide a foundation for treatment, while transitional and discharge planning support successful transitions and ongoing care.
In-home services, family skills building, and 1:1 mentorship further contribute to the individualized treatment approach.
